Stephen P. Roma - (Steve Sr.)
Chief Executive Officer
Steve was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. That is where he first met and wed the love of his life Mary. Steve started his business career in the computer industry. He worked for a couple large companies during the 1970’s and the early 1980’s, where he started as a computer programmer, moved-on to become head of Management Information Services, and later held the position of Senior Vice President of Administration.
In the early 1980’s Steve launched a minicomputer service business in New Brunswick, New Jersey by the name of Princeton Computer Systems. Soon after he partnered with a close friend and business associate – they merged companies to become Princeton Computer Group (PCG). PCG was a Computer Leasing business that leased large IBM computers to a Fortune 500 client base. In the early 1990’s Steve and his partner sold PCG. But the entrepreneur in Steve prevailed, when he decided to start-up PCG again with the expectation of building it up and selling it in five years. As fate would have it, exactly five years to the month Steve sold his company for the second time.
Steve retired from the Computer Leasing industry in April of 1996 in order to begin working full time in the family business. Steve’s main goal (and skill-set) was and still is to grow WoW into a successful chain of New Jersey fitness centers. Steve continues with this effort every single day as he manages the overall business of WoW, finds & negotiates new locations, manages the construction of new locations, and fulfills the company goal of Keeping Jersey Strong one new WoW at a time.
